Calling All Moms - Fall 2009

All moms get angry. So do children. Meet with other moms for a real, direct, in-depth look at anger in moms and children as Park's own Minday Meier explors one of the most taboo emotions for women. Mindy, a speaker, author, wife and mother has a remarkable ability to simplify common life experiences while challenging you to dig deeper and gain personal understanding and accountability.

The Loop - God of Our City:

The Loop is Park Community Church's original week-long summer camp program for kids ages 3 through 5th grade. This year we're going to discover that God is our Friend, Protector, Helper, Provider and Savior as we loop through the city of Chicago and see God working and revealing Himself right here!

Moms Group Beach Day:

Hey, moms! Bring the kids, your friends, and the fun for a Moms’ Group Beach Day! Meet us at 10 AM at the end of the sidewalk, in between the two lifeguard towers. Street parking is available but at a distance. There is a concession stand nearby for snacks. Bagged lunch is recommended. Raindate is July 28.

Calling All Moms - Spring Event - Jill Savage

What does Jesus know about a peanut-butter-and-jelly life of a mom? Plenty! Jill Savage introduces the real Jesus to real moms. Jill brings lessons that examine key behaviors and decisions Jesus made during His life on earth. Jill will remind us that Jesus is not an unattainable deity but a Friend who understands.

Katara McCarty will be speaking to us about "life change." Join others as she starts a conversation that can change your life so greatly that it will cause transformation not only in you, but also in the community around you. Come and let your life change begin! Katara co-pastors a growing, multi-cultural church, God's House, that emphasizes grace for all. She also leads worship as well as speaks along side her husband Ryan of 11 years. She is a mother of 2 girls. Her life experience will move you as she will describe her life of brokenness and abuse. She has traveled through being adopted, not knowing her father and ultimately having the Lord's Love revealed to her. We pray you can make this "life changing" event. Parking is available in the garage or in the north parking lot. Child care will not be provided. Nursing infants welcome.
